God is my All!

Growing up I have heard the song “ God is my all in all.” I love that song. 

Recently I heard Melvin Crispell singing it on the Stellar awards.  I loved how he sung it. I hardly could contain myself when I heard him.

As I was sitting by my self one day I started to reflect on the words. 

“God is my all in all”!


But what does it mean? 

It means exactly what it says. If you are a child of his, He is you ALL! 

He is your comforter when you are going through. He is a shelter when you have not where else to go. He is a mother and father to those who don’t have their earthly parents.

He is our guide to guide us through this life with all the twist and turns. 

Most importantly he is our Heavenly Father who looked down on this sinful world, and sent his only son to die on the cross so that all who believed on him can be saved! 

God is so good! 

For me, it means God is my everything! 

He is the reason I get up in the morning.

He is the reason I smile when I want to cry.

He is the reason I live my life for him.

He is the reason I write! 

He is the reason this troubled girl who wanted nothing to do with him is telling everyone about what he has done for me! 

See, God has done so much for me in my life. Even when I did not deserve his love and kindness, he was still by my side. When I did not deserve his grace and mercy, he still showed me that he would always be with me. .


What does God being your all in all means to you?

I pray that this is a blessing to  someone and if you don’t know God, you get to know him.

Just get Started

  Just get started   I was talking to my good friend, I call him big bro, and we were talking about exercising.  He was telling me that he walks so many miles a day to get his exercise and I told him I needed to be like him. He said “ the key is to just get started”. I like that, it make since.  But why did God show me somthing in those few words. We often say that we want to do a work for God. But in the same breath, we make every excuse we can think of as to why we have not done it or even started the task that God has given us.  Just like us wanting to do something meaningful in our lives and we do it, we have to have that same attitude toward our walk with God.  2 Corinthians 5:7 : "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (KJV) We may not know where God is leading us. He may be taking us to a place where it is new territory for us. But if we just get up and START, who knows what blessing he has in store for us.  God bless.
